This is the new thing on the block that has started discussions everywhere. Acai is full of minerals, nutrients, vital amino acids, vitamins and several other very essential nutrients for our body. It is touted as the number super food, offering a horde health benefits.
You get it from the rainforests of the Amazon where it grows on Acai palm trees. Once you pluck it, it does not stay for longer than a day. Therefore, you need to freeze it, dry it, or juice it to keep it for long. Most often, it is freeze dried and powdered. The natives include this berry in their diet in a wide array of dishes besides using it as a dessert.

This acai berry fruit has been the object of study and research for quite a few years now. Most often the research has been around whether or not this is an effective supplement to cause weight loss. However, you do not find a lot on this subject that backs up these claims of acai berry causing weight loss. There are number of scammers that try to scam ignorant and even intelligent people who want to desperately lose weight. Usually they offer exotic and natural products that sometimes even cause some amount of weight loss. However, it is generally only water weight and hence the weight loss is not sustained.

The truth is that this acai berry is, in fact, effective. It has a lot of components that work on cellular level in our body and cause weight loss. One such component is amino acids. It helps to detoxify your body and get rid of body’s toxins.

It is packed with antioxidants that help to ward off the free radicals that cause your body to age and wrinkles to appear. It helps to cause muscle repair and prevents injury during your workouts. Besides this, the acai increases the overall rate of metabolism of your body causing you to burn more calories and hence, lose weight.

The best thing about acai berries is that it is natural and it does not have any side effects. It does not cause an artificial that is too quick to be healthy. It encourages the overall health of your body apart from causing you to lose weight. This is the main reason that makes it so effective and so desirable.

However, when you go for acai berry supplements, you should take care that they are as pure as possible with minimum amount of processing. The reason is that processing often makes it lose most of its nutrient value and addition of some chemicals may also interfere with its health value. Therefore, you should take care when you take these acai berry supplements.
