What are the Side Effects of Acai Berry?

Acai Berry is known as the world’s number one super food today. Known throughout the Amazon for centuries, it’s more recently been discovered in America.

The Acai Berry is a grape-sized fruit made up of almost 90 % seed, which grows in the Amazon Rain Forest. The berries are harvested and the pulp is separated from the seed to be used in supplements, food and skin care products.

The Acai Berry is known for its energizing capabilities and weight loss properties. It’s said to be cancer fighting, that it strengthens the immune system, helps promote sharper vision, burns fat and builds muscle tone.

There are a lot of positive things regarding the Acai Berry, but there are also many sites and experts which claim that because it’s not FDA approved, it isn’t as effective as people are claiming it to be. And many people ask a question: Are there any Side Effects of Acai Berry?

There are apparently some side effects associated with Acai Berry. Side effects of the Acai Berry aren’t as severe as it damaging your heart or your liver, but as with anything we ingest, there are some negative occurrences for some individuals.

Acai Berry is a known appetite suppressant, which can be a benefit for someone trying to lose weight, but a definite negative for many others.

There really aren’t any majorly negative side effects with Acai Berry and to have any, you would have to consume a large portion on a regular basis. The negative side effects which may be associated with Acai Berry are often positive side effects for those who are feeling run down or trying to lose weight.
An example of what I mean is that Acai Berry could be very helpful and effective to someone like me, who has an extremely sluggish metabolism, has trouble burning calories and fat and little to no muscle tone. My boyfriend, however, has an excessively high metabolism, absolutely no fat and is already rather energetic.
The Acai Berry could help raise my metabolism and suppress my appetite, providing me more energy and helping me to build muscle tone with the proper diet and exercise. For someone like my boyfriend who already has those components I would be trying to get by taking the Acai Berry, it could be a negative.

He obviously does not need more energy or to raise his metabolism and suppressing his appetite would be detrimental to his health because he is so thin, he does not need to eat less. In fact, he really needs to eat more. We are exact opposites. His body is like a well oiled machine that many Americans can only dream of being like. His every day weight complaints are that he’s constantly hungry, can’t gain any weight and is just one big burst of energy. It’s a shame that the Acai Berry might have a negative effect on someone like him, because there are so many other positive side effects of the Acai Berry (like the cancer fighting agents, the vision help, etc).

Make sure you are the right body type for something like this and monitor your intake and your reactions to make sure that the Acai Berry is affecting you positively. It’s not a miracle cure for weight loss and you will need to work diligently and hard in order to accomplish what you need to, but in the end, the Acai Berry can be a great deal of help with little to no side effects.
